Went last Friday to a gig of my current obsession; Mr. Polska.
And to make it even more complete, he showed up with his whole group Nouveau Riche. The crowd was kinda lame, other location would help but in the end I WAS THERE.
Freakshows unite, i'm satisfied for now. Oh and, their producer Boaz deserves real pride for his beats.

Today's obsession: Mr. Polska

A tiny Polish/Dutch rapper, born in Poland (calls himself President Mr. Polska lol) with crazy beats & lyrics.
I don't know why but somehow he triggers me. He performed time ago in my hometown, didn't went then but now i feel like going to a crazy party like that.

The tall Dutch guy Jebroer isn't part of my obsession lol.

Het gevoel dat het winter is en het allemaal er toch niet toe doet, overheerst. Dat je weet dat de wereld niet vergaat (en gerust zonder jou verder draait) als je een les op school mist. Dat de klas uiteindelijk ook maar een groep mensen is die per toeval samen zijn geplaatst. Je bent niets van elkaar, als overeenkomst de weg naar een diploma waarvoor je moet doen wat jij zelf wilt. Eigenheid creëren. Na dit ben je nooit meer die groep. Dan ben je weer alleen. Dus wat heeft die beïnvloeding dan voor nut gehad.

Okay weirdest week of 2011

Yesterday i was going to interview the restaurant manager of the Euromast (185m high tower) in Rotterdam, when we suddenly saw a lot of police men and  we heard someone just jumped off the Euromast... terrible idea.

Here some happy music a Filipino classmate was singing yesterday. LIKE ALL DAY LONG.

Yesterday i attended Little Dragon's concert @ Lantaren/Venster Rotterdam with Nancy. It was a chill evening: cool band + nice music + chill audience.
And the Swedish-Japanese lead singer Yukimi Nagano is just SO awesome.

Queen's Day

Not my pics, but it's to show some impressions of Queen's Day in The Netherlands.
It's a national holiday (always on April 30th) to celebrate the birthday of the queen. There are flea markets in almost every city, music events, open-air parties  & most people dress up in orange.

My Q-Day was in Rotterdam with some friends at the open-air party there. Although there were the craziest & cheapest-looking people around it was nice, sunny and very crowded & i met up with a good friend of mine i hadn't seen for a while :)
