Caviar nails

Spotted this trend on the blogs recently; caviar nails.
Ciaté made a beautiful but expensive set for caviar manicure, but i decided to buy the 'mini beads' on Ebay. Same effect, way cheaper.

One thing. Wearing this kind of nail art isn't handy. Stuck in your hair, feels weird, constantly being careful not losing any beads. But the effect ís worth it!

Made this nail art inspired by Dutch painter Piet Mondriaan. Tomorrow my last exam about new media... featuring a 300 paged book i haven't read woohooo. Awesome. See ya in couple of days.

Nail art: Monarch Butterfly

My project for hours, yesterday i saw this tutorial how to make Monarch Butterfly nails & decided to give it a try!
I used Kiko nail polish (orange), Essence nail art pen (black) and for the dots Catrice nail polish (in 470-Snow Motion!).

Finally i found a store where Essence's budget version of OPI's crack polish wasn't sold out! My first try today with yellow nail polish underneath failed, so better luck next time..
Also i got these NYC products with discount coupons. Had to bring some old make-up to the store & then i could trade it for a product of the NYC line. Freebies are the best : D

This week Catrice has introduced about 19 new colors, so for sure the hunting season is open again!
I've chosen two new colors (410 - Pool Party At Night & 490 - Iron Mermaiden) and the prismatic effects topcoat. Guess i'm gonna try this topcoat tomorrow to spice up my red nails.
Oh no.... already feel the need to buy more of them brothers and sisters to join my precious collection..

PS. I really really really need a big nail polish display. NOW

Catrice on top

Catrice is doing sooo well since they've launched their Ultimate Nail Lacquer line in March 2010. I bet the company members are so happy at the moment, because every single thing they make seems to be popular!
Their whole collection looks nice, complete with Shu Uemura inspired eyeshadows & cheap nail polishes in almost every color you can imagine. I need to have some new stuff asap!

Got rid of my cheetah/panther/safari style nails today, time for something new! At the moment i want those dotting tools (where to find? only cheap on Ebay i guess..), but right now i have a sate stick as substitute to make the style above i found online.

Hysteric glitterrrrr

Last week i bought my firrrrst... OPI nail polish!

As you see it's one of the glitters out of the Alice in Wonderland-collection, that's called Mad As A Hatter. Read several positive reviews about this nail polish, so when i saw it last week during shopping in Rotterdam i decided to buy this precious immediately! Couldn't help it, who knows it's gone next week?!  

On the pics above i wear Mad As A Hatter on a black Catrice nail polish (320 Back To Black).

Leopardish

New stuff, new nails! I used Catrice's Be My Millionaire + a black Nail Art Pen from Essence (2+1 free this week).

The pen isn't a bad product but i must say the tip doesn't work properly all the time. Sometimes it just gives too much black polish which ruins my new freshy patterns instantly...
I also have a pen like this from Sally Hansen, more expensive but works way better to be honest. But with a bargain price of 2€ this Essence Nail Art Pen isn't a real bad buy!

Fruity fruity !

Today i received a small package from China filled with the cuuuuuutest on earth fruit nail art! My mum got it at Ebay & i decided to try something immediately.
Kinda weird, but as you all know i like that kind of freakshow things ;p By the way i used Catrice's From Dusk Till Dawn as nailpolish underneath all the fruityness.

Nail wheel

Entertaining myself by putting my nail polish on this nail wheel my mum bought last week. It's nice to do & fun to see which colors you got, guess i'm gonna buy some blue Catrice nail polishes to complete this wheel ;p
All the shown polishes are from Catrice, except the pink one right of the black nail (that's a Gosh).

It's another nail polish from Catrice: Ultimate Nail Lacquer named '010 - Don't Feed The Birds'. The silver dots i made with Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen. A kinda strange color i know, but with this heat & summer feeling i didn't care. Just had to try it! 

P.S. This weekend starts Tour de France in Rotterdam, i'm kinda excited! : D Buttt Sunday is Metropolis Festival, also in Rotterdam (Babylon Circus yayyy!); Double French, double excited!

Pebble Beach from the first pic i wore couple of days ago & is
a matte finish nail polish itself. It's a pretty strange color although i liked it. Today i'm wearing the second one, which is normally shiny but i used it in combination with the matte topcoat from Hema.
I don't know what finish i like most, but i think matte is a nice change from all those shiny nail polishes.

Great colors, great price. Especially when they're in sale like last week, one bottle for only €1,24 !!

Happy Queen's Day!

Today it's Queen's Day in Holland! And it's raining... as usual.

The nail polish in this post is the other Catrice one. Orange is the typical Queen's Day color, but this polish isn't making me happy. It's a nice coral color, but the weird texture makes it difficult to apply. I Scream Peach is pretty thick but fast drying, that's why it ends up a little stripy.. better luck next time!
